We are proud to announce a new publication commenting on the role of artificial intelligence in the field of medicine and specifically guidelines. We focused on the utility of AI in being able to obtain cardiology guidelines and provide relevant recommendations in real time, at the bedside.
Our approach to the use of AI in this setting proposed retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) as a framework for existing large language models to promote higher output accuracy. We also proposed direct integration into existing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure accessibility and updatability.
AI is continuing to rapidly evolve and develop allowing for greater application and utility in clinical practice. As more research emerges on the use of RAG AI for guideline based applications, there is potential for more efficient and effective clinical practice which will hopefully be reflected through improved clinical outcomes.
We look forward to brining updates in this space...
